District Update: April 9, 2020
According to pa.gov, Governor Wolf recently announced that all school districts in PA will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. Continuing his efforts to protect the health and safety of students and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the governor made the decision in consultation with Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine and Secretary of Education Pedro A. Rivera (https://www.pa.gov/).
Secretary Rivera added that all re-openings will be contingent on public health guidance provided by the Secretary of Health and stay-at-home orders issued by the governor.
Please keep in mind that A-CV will continue with our educational plan as presented earlier this week. If you have not accessed this program, please check it out at the acvsd.org website or the face book page. There are some really fun educational activities for your children. The teachers at A-CV have done a great job preparing creative, and engaging educational activities that will enhance our studentsí educational successes. If you need access to technology or have questions, you may contact the Jr/Sr high school at 724-659-4661 to speak with Mr. Jordan or 724-659-3555 to speak with Mrs. Sherman.
In closing, I am sure that there are many questions surrounding prom, 6th grade recognition, and graduation. At this time, we are not sure what will take place, but rest assured, our school district will continue to monitor the guidance set forth by the Governor and Secretary of Health. We are planning to do something for our students and their families, but at this time, our plan is not set in-place. More information to come.
Finally, the staff at A-CV wishes you and your family a safe and Happy Easter!
